**** What is breast cancer? ****

Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that originates in cells of the breast. A malignant tumor is a group of cancer cells (invade) the surrounding tissue or scatter (metastases) can grow to remote areas of the body. The disease occurs almost exclusively in women, but men can get it.

The normal breast

To understand cancer, it helps to have some basic knowledge of the normal breast structure, have shown in the figure below.

The female breast is composed mainly of lobules (milk-producing glands), (carry small tubes, the milk from the lobules to the nipple) channels composed and stroma (fatty tissue and connective tissue around the products and lobules, blood vessels, blood and lymph vessels).
Most breast cancers begin in cells that the ducts (ductal carcinoma). Some start in the cells that line the lobules (lobular cancer), while a small number start in other tissues.

the lymph (lymphatic system) of the breast

The lymphatic system is important to understand because it is a form of breast cancer to spread. This system consists of several parts.

Lymph nodes are small bean-shaped collections of immune system cells (cells that are important in fighting infections) that are connected by lymphatic vessels. Lymphatic vessels are like small veins, except that carry a clear fluid called lymph (instead of blood) to the chest. Lymph contains tissue fluid and waste products and immune system cells. Can enter the breast cancer cells and lymph vessels begin to grow in the lymph nodes.Article resource by :are pearly penile papules contagious

Most lymphatic vessels in the breast to the lymph nodes in the armpit (axillary lymph nodes) to connect. Some lymphatic vessels to lymph nodes in the chest (internal mammary) and the clavicle above or below the terminal
If cancer cells have spread to the lymph nodes, there is a greater likelihood that the cells could also be in the bloodstream and spread (metastases) have entered other parts of the body. The lymph nodes with breast cancer, it is likely that the cancer can also be found in other organs. For this reason, to cancer in one or more lymph nodes are often seen on the treatment plan. Can not, however, all women with cancer cells in lymph node metastases, and some women do not have cancer cells in the lymph nodes and subsequently develop metastases.

Benign breast lumps

Most breast lumps are not cancerous (benign). However, some need to take a sample and looked at under a microscope to prove they are not cancer.Twitter

Most lumps turn out to be fibrocystic changes. The term refers to fibrocystic cysts and fibrosis. Fibrosis is the formation of scar-like (fibrous) tissue, and cysts are fluid-filled blisters. Fibrocystic breast can cause swelling and pain. This often happens just before a woman's menstrual period is about to begin. Your breasts feel lumpy and, sometimes, you may notice a discharge or cloudy.
Other benign tumors of the breast

Benign breast tumors such as fibroadenomas or papillomas are growths, but they are not cancerous and do not spread outside the breast to other organs. You are not life threatening. However, some benign breast conditions are important because women have to suffer with these diseases is an increased risk of developing breast cancer.
