Healthcare


Health or health is the treatment and prevention of disease. Health care is delivered by professionals in medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy and allied health.

The social and political issues surrounding access to healthcare in the U.S. have led to intense public debate and almost colloquial use of terms such as health care (medical treatment of the disease), health insurance (reimbursement of the costs of health care) and public health ( The collective state and scope of health in a population). The provision of modern health care depends on an expanding group of training professionals come together as an interdisciplinary team. [1] [2]

The health care industry includes various sectors engaged in the provision of health services and products. According to the classifications of industry and the market, such as the Uniform Classification Global Industry Classification and the industry benchmark, The healthcare industry includes the equipment and health services and pharmaceutical products , biotechnology and life sciences. Specific areas associated with these groups are: biotechnology, diagnostic substances, drug supply, drug manufacturers, hospitals, medical equipment and instruments, diagnostic laboratories, nursing homes, providers of health care plans and home health care. According to the classifications of the government industry, based primarily on the United Nations, the International Standard Industrial Classification, health care generally consists of the activities of hospital activities and medical practice dental, and other human health activities. The last class consists of all activities for human health not performed in hospitals, doctors or dentists. Top impact factor academic journals in the health field include Health Affairs and Milbank Quarterly. The New England Journal of Medicine, British Medical Journal and the Journal of the American Medical Association journals are more general.

Biomedical research (or experimental medicine), generally known simply as medical research, is the basic research, translational research aplicadaO research conducted to help the body of knowledge in the field of medicine. Medical research can be divided into two general categories: the evaluation of new treatments for safety and efficacy in what are called clinical trials, and all the other research that contributes to the development of new treatments. The latter is called preclinical research if its goal is specifically for the development of knowledge for development of new therapeutic strategies. A new paradigm for biomedical research is called translational research, which focuses on iterative feedback loops between the fields of basic and clinical research to accelerate knowledge translation from one day to the bank, and vice versa.
